The credit history allows you to see your applicant’s payment history, and therefore any late payments they may have made.
These delays are coded as follows:
1: No delay
2: 30 days overdue
3: 60 days overdue
4: 90 days overdue
5: 120 days overdue
7: Payment Program
8: Repossession
9: Recovery.
Sometimes you may see a series of “9”’s in the payment history. This means that your applicant has been written off for non-payment of the account in question.
Here is an example of a payment history. The candidate being screened is overdue on all his accounts.
